The UPS Store is an industry leader with over 5000 locations nationwide, making it the largest pack, ship, and print retailer in the nation. This locally owned center is located in the popular The Snoqualmie Ridge shopping district at Snoqulamie, WA and is currently looking for positive minded individuals to help our location grow!
Note: The UPS Stores are independently owned and operated. This is not UPS Corporate position. It is a retail sales position, NOT a warehouse or corporate position.
We're looking for Assistant Store Manager / Manager (Shipping, Packing & Printing Associate) for an established, fast-paced local franchised UPS Store to contribute to the success of our business. We're looking for a dynamic person with great communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to multi task. The successful candidate should be great at customer service and computer skills. In addition, candidate must be outgoing, friendly, work independently, multi-tasking and loves to work with public.
At this role, you are responsible to run day-to-day operations for this retail location. They are required to open and close the center, manage productivity and assure world-class customer service delivery of the team. The Manager is involved with continuous improvement, service delivery levels, personnel management, and business development. The candidate has a high school diploma/GED (college coursework or degree desired), two-four years retail store operations experience, excellent computer/Internet/software knowledge, the physical ability to perform this job (lifting, bending, etc.), and knows how to listen, follow, lead, and help the Center Manager attain defined targets. They will have a dynamic personality and can help motivate a team to optimize performance.
Mandatory Duties:
Opening and Closing: You must be able to open/close at the correct timings
Requirements:
- At least have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent English-speaking and writing skills
- Minimum 1-2 years previous retail customer service/sales experience.
- Friendly outgoing attitude, fast learner, with attention to detail a must.
- Prompt, reliable, and responsible.
- Strong communication - verbal/written and phone skills, including strong spelling and math skills.
- Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office, Adobe, Emails, Internet etc.).
- Familiar with POS /cash register systems, copiers, scanners, and fax machine.
- Able to lift 40+ lbs on a regular basis as needed. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Manual hand dexterity to operate POS, copiers, complete customer paperwork and properly pack and ship customer shipments
- Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation
- Availability and willingness to work a flexible schedule with availability to work all scheduled shifts, including weekends.
- Ability and willingness to become a Notary. Notary training will be provided
Preferred:
- 1 to 2 years retail shipping experience (UPS Store, FedEx, PostNet, USPS etc.)
- Print / Document services job experience (Staples, FedEx, OfficeMax, etc.)
- Graphics design experience (Adobe and Publisher applications etc.)
- General packing and shipping experience
- General Sales and Marketing is a plus!
Store Hours of Operation:
Mon-Fri 8:00am - 6:30 pm, Sat 9.30am - 3.00pm
Job Type: Hourly - Shift
Pay: $16.50 - $22.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
