The Winter Rental Supervisor supervises, coordinates, oversees, and operates every facet of the rental and retail operations within his or her store, including managing an Assistant Supervisor and staff. As a team, the Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor are responsible for promoting excellent teamwork and customer service while managing the rental and retail processes, inventory, store profitability, and equipment while maintaining a fun, safe and energetic "Sun Valley Lifestyle" ambiance in their respective rental/retail location.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintains a fun, safe, energetic rental or retail experience for our guests and rental groups

Oversees daily operations, striving to meet stated objectives in sales, profitability and expense management

Coaches product knowledge to the staff to ensure all guests receive the right product for their ability level, interest or need. Responsible for creating schedules and enforcing shop policies and procedures.

Maintains a finely tuned rental fleet and retail inventory, guaranteeing that all sizes of products are available

In charge of re-ordering retail products from the warehouse, obtaining products from other stores as needed and finding and obtaining substitute rental or retail products as necessary

Responsible for merchandising, displaying, fronting and restocking of the retail and/or rental space in conjunction with Merchandising and Buying teams

Carries out opening and closing duties of the rental store

Must be proficient with all levels of retail and rental Point-of-sale systems

Responsible for correctly processing potential liability issues: documentation, equipment testing, follow-up with the legal department, etc.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred

2 years of ski-specific employment, including retail sales, rental and repair

Previous background should include knowledge of the mountain resort industry and nomenclature and a demonstrated ability to deal with customers

Supervisory experience preferred

The ability to mentor staff, hold them accountable, and create a meaningful and fun work experience
