Lead Hardware Engineer for Tech Startup

We're looking for a talented and highly motivated Lead Hardware Engineer and Server Technician who can help on a full-time basis in building and maintaining servers colocated in our data centers in Kirkland, Bellevue, and Tukwila.

We have small server rooms with production services that operate on a 24/7 basis.

Working hours: 9am-5pm US Pacific Time

Location: Bellevue or nearby cities (preferably Kirkland, Bellevue, and Tukwila)

Base Salary: $5000/month

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Experience with Linux and Windows server administration and networking.

Available on-call during weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Quick to respond to server and network outages.

Enjoys building and working with computers and servers.

Extremely organized and dependable.

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Build, wrack, and wire new servers.

Respond to production issues promptly (e.g., failed drives / servers / switches / etc.).

Maintain data center hardware inventory.

Design and develop prototype devices and servers.

Debug low-cost server hardware configurations for various tech projects.

Collaborate with other engineers and designers to bring product concepts to life.

Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of hardware components.

Stay up-to-date on the latest hardware trends and technologies.

Document designs and procedures effectively.
