IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is accepting applications for an Engineering Technician position at its facility in Seattle, WA.
Ideal candidates will have the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or other closely-related field (required)
Background as machinist, mechanical engineering technology, or related field
General aptitude for using hand tools to assemble electronic devices and shop equipment
Ability to solder (including soldering under a microscope) and knowledge of PCB board assembly
Familiarity working with computers and manufacturing software
Good hands-on skill and attention to detail.
Experience in machining with metal and plastics (some CNC machining knowledge is a plus)
Proficiency in CAD (Autodesk Fusion, Solidworks). Experience in CAM is preferred
Ability to work in a hands-on rapid prototyping environment
Ability to lift at least 30lbs regularly
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 Hourly. This is a full-time position, eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9:00am - 5:30pm. This position is based on-site and requires 100% in-office work (requests for exemptions may be considered, only as required under applicable law).
