JOB SUMMARY: The Natural Resources Enforcement Sergeant reports to the NR Enforcement Deputy Chief and assists the Deputy Chief in the supervision of Natural Resources Enforcement Officers as needed by the Natural Resources Enforcement Deputy Chief. The Natural Resources Enforcement Sergeant will assist the Deputy Chief in insuring treaty fishing, hunting and gathering harvests are lawfully and safely conducted. Maintains peace and order and enforces all applicable tribal laws and ordinances, primarily the Fishing and Hunting Codes. Issues citations to violators, conducts applicable investigations, makes arrests and provides testimony in court as needed. The Natural Resources Enforcement Sergeant is responsible for assisting the Deputy Chief with officer schedules and to ensure that tasks are completed on time.
