About the Role:

Gone was founded in 2024 by Seattle-based founders Nick Huzar and Yash Wagh, who bring decades of experience in local commerce, logistics, and retail.

We do the work to keep things out of landfills. Our team is here to provide another option for getting rid of things you no longer use. We provide complimentary pickup at no cost and do all the heavy lifting, literally and figuratively. Our goal is to reduce waste and circulate neglected items including gently used household goods, office furniture, and other recyclable products.

The on-site Retail Sales Associate will be responsible for 2 key areas of the business:

Sales & Customer Engagement

Advertising (think social media, posting, maybe Lives or videos)

Your love and knowledge of sales & providing an exceptional customer experience combined with your detail oriented and a bias for action work ethic, will be a cornerstone for your success in this role. People often comment on your ability to juggle multiple priorities. You care about the details and are aware that small things do matter. You take pride in communicating and sharing ways to be more efficient and innovative.

Schedule Requirement & Hourly Wage

This is an on-site only opportunity at our Renton store (right near Southcenter).

Must be available during weekends and weekdays, day shifts are typically 10 - 6:30 p.m (may change in the future, flexibility is important).

40 hours per week with eligibility for overtime in the future

Hourly Wage $20-$26 p/h DOE

Deliverables you’ll be measured on:

Finding unique ways to sell our products, hitting key targets and goals.

Engaging and establishing relationships with customers and be able to provide tailored recommendations and solutions, whether in-store or online; sharing the unique stories behind our products and emphasizing their environmental impact and sustainability.

Becoming a subject matter expert (go to person) on a topic/trend/brand you are passionate about (Mid Century, antiques, office furniture, electronics, sports equipment …) and sharing your knowledge with other team members - and especially with customers.

Experience you’ll bring to the team:

Exceptional organizational dexterity – you can pivot quickly between tasks (moving items, pickups & deliveries, organizing, restocking, pricing, posting/sharing pictures and videos ) and not lose momentum or your ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Willingness to continuously develop (yourself and others) and understand and share industry best practices.

Sense of humor, personal integrity, and appreciation for the power of teamwork.

Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
