IT service provider is looking for someone to assist in generating leads for the business. This is a 3-month 1099 contract that may renew if efforts prove successful. Minimum of 20 hours per week required during business hours of 8am to 5pm M-F and work-from-home is OK. More than 20 hours per week may be required at some point depending on how the position evolves. The job involves making phone calls to businesses and setting appointments for our sales rep. We will provide all contact lists. You will be contacting government contractors to gauge their need for NIST compliance work, whether for a project or for ongoing IT management, and setting an appointment for them to talk with our rep. The sales rep will do all the selling in that appointment. Your job is just to connect them. You will be provided with an overview of DFARS/NIST 800-171 compliance so you can converse intelligently about the subject when making your calls. Compensation is $15 per hour, plus a generous commission on leads that result in a contract.
