Full-time, 40 hours per week position available. We are an office-first organization with office hours at headquarters with the possibility of working a couple days remote with approval.

Description of duties The BI team is at the heart of building technical solutions that transform information into business opportunities. This role will be a great fit for you if you like creating BI cloud solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure tools technologies.

The BI Architect builds technical solutions for report creation to provide our stakeholders with actionable insights for data driven business decisions. As the senior member of our team, you will be a technical subject matter expert involved in creating BI solutions. You will source data from repositories (CRM D365, Dataverse, APIs), pipelining/ETL, cleansing, transforming data, and building dimensional models for reporting in Power BI/SSRS. You have experience developing ETL code in SQL Server technologies on-prem (SQL Server Analysis/Reporting/Integration Services (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS), SQL/TSQL), and migrating/building a new data warehouse in Azure Cloud.

You have advanced knowledge in data warehouse architecture with Azure cloud and implementing technical solutions using cloud resources such as Azure Storage, Integration Runtimes, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and looking forward to new BI technologies such as Microsoft Fabric.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, curiosity for problem solving, and the ability to mentor other engineers, and work with stakeholders at large.

Education & Experience Requirements

BA in Management Information Systems (MIS) or BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience). MA preferred.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in related position with related experience with BI development in Azure cloud and Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools.

Current MCSA: BI Reporting, SQL 2019 BI Development, Data Management and Analytics, and MPP Data Science certification or Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification are preferred.

Experience with other Business Intelligence Tools is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits package includes:

Competitive wages, annual discretionary bonus. Pay Range $124,400 to $174,200.

Medical, dental & vision benefits provided (100% employer paid premium for the employee, 75% employer paid premium for the dependents).

Defined retirement contribution: SPIE provides an automatic 5% contribution PLUS SPIE offers UP to 5% matching contributions and 25% vesting each year, 100% vested after 4 years.

Paid Time Off plan beginning at 31 days per year.
