Job description
Licensed Massage Therapist (South Lake Union)
Banya 5 is a modern take on the traditional European spa located in the heart of South Lake Union. Over the past 20 years, we have created a strong and healthy community of individuals seeking rejuvenation through hydrotherapy and ancient wellness rituals in a clean, safe and friendly environment.
We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced licensed massage therapist with experience in treatment centered work. We hire based upon strong treatment skills, deep tissue techniques, a high regard for hospitality, and exemplary client communication.
We are a human-centered seasoned business that believes in collaboration and teamwork; a community of health-focused individuals who take pride in what we do. With an Operating Partner who was a practicing massage therapist for 20 years there is a true understanding of the industry, and the joys and challenges of bodywork.
Our LMTs practice their own style of bodywork, and we support them with training in wet room services, hydrotherapy, client communication, and provide yearly classes on a variety of topics.
We are committed to setting the industry standard in Seattle. There is no “spa massage” formula to adhere to. Of course, we have clients that want “relaxation” but as seasoned therapists we know that there are many ways to help someone achieve relaxation while also making a difference in their body. We believe in educating our clients about different approaches, styles, and techniques of massage along with how they can utilize the hydrotherapy to take their healing to the next level.
Work among therapists that continually work towards deepening their skills. It is inspirational and motivating to work with professionals that truly care to do their best and continue to grow in their profession. Working with this team gives you the opportunity to discuss your practice and get feedback.
Work with clients who have used hydrotherapy prior to their massage; it makes a huge difference in the work you can do. We also have a large clientele who come here specifically to maintain their health, and understand the benefits of hydrotherapy and massage.
