We are an in-demand salon dedicated to natural curls and we spend our days educating new clients on the proper care of their curls and waves. We provide clients; you bring your best team spirit!
We are also a licensed apprenticeship salon and we are looking for a stylist who can also help teach a new generation of stylists! Mostly your days will be working with clients, sharing your thought processes, and having the salon apprentice learn alongside you by assisting. The requirement to be a trainer is licensed in WA and working in a salon for at least 3 years. A fully booked stylist makes between $750-950 per pay period in tips in addition to great hourly pay.
We also have a full-benefits package for full-time staff that includes: dental insurance, accidental insurance, paid training, company-matching IRA, vacation pay after one year employed, and a 3 or 4-day work week. All supplies are provided (except shears) and we have front desk coverage so checking out and booking people are not your primary responsibility. 32 hours is considered full time here, as we know this is physically demanding work and we need time to take care of ourselves! As we expand and our new stylist (could this be you?) is established, the scheduled days would move to Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and possibly Wednesday, depending on if a 3 or 4-day workweek is desired. For now, while being trained the days would be Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat; with a possible switch in 3-6 months.
Here at OlyCurl, we love dogs, yoga and Michael Buble'. We occasionally jam out to 80s and 90s throwbacks. If you like those things too, we may be a good fit!
