Superior Skilled Trades is hiring Aluminum Welders II and III for a major new construction project in Vancouver, Washington. This is a long-term opportunity with potential for temp-to-hire for select candidates. If you’re skilled in aluminum MIG welding and can pass a 3G/4G weld test, we want you on our team!
Position Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Hours: 40/week
Pay Rate:
- Welder II: $30.14/hour
- Welder III: $25.56/hour
- Per Diem: you may qualify depending on your location
Responsibilities
- Perform manual, semi-automatic, and automatic aluminum MIG welding (3G & 4G)
- Use oxygen/acetylene torch for cutting or pre-heating
- Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and weld symbols
- Set up and operate welding equipment
- Assemble and tack parts as directed
Requirements
- Must pass 3G and 4G X-ray weld test on 3/8" plate
- Shipyard experience preferred but not required
- Standard welding PPE required (hardhat, hood, gloves, eye protection, ear plugs, welding leathers, basic hand tools)
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing and walking
- Lifting up to 35 lbs
- Occasional climbing, crouching, and twisting
- Normal vision and hearing required for safety
