If so, we are a small residential remodeling company looking to hire a person that delivers exceptional customer service and wants to learn carpentry and various other construction trades.
We work in people's homes, get to know their families and provide people with a remodeling experience that they rave to others about. Are you interested in the home remodeling industry? Our company, Palmer Residential, is looking for a carpenter assistant – our company calls this position a “field remodeler”, who is wanting and willing to learn. We have a 90-day training program to help set up you up for success. You do not need your own tools (some personal hand tools will be needed but not at first – all other tools are provided).
Overall Responsibilities:
Ask questions often
Participation in your learning

Understanding that happy clients, a team atmosphere, AND company profit is important
Communication via email and phone with team members
Respect and security of our clients’ homes
Maintain a clean job site throughout the day
Learn, understand, and maintain jobsite protection (dust barriers, floor coverings, etc.)
Learn about tools, tool maintenance, how to organize tools, and store tools correctly
The field remodeler will be a contributing team member who delivers consistently exceptional customer service
Participation in team meetings
The field remodeler will represent our company with proper hygiene and clothing
Skills Requirements:
Complete 90-day training program
Must consistently be punctual and show up on time daily
Must possess a high school diploma or a GED
Have a proficient level of reading and writing to communicate well with team members and clients
Be able to read a tape measure
Comfortable handling power tools
Have the ability to ask questions
High level of attention to detail
You must have a reliable vehicle
Prior carpentry experience desired but not required
