Thursday- Sunday 7am- 5:30 pm

Job Description

As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for entering and completing work orders on a phone or laptop, managing vendor communication, and performing various maintenance tasks. You will also need to move furniture between sites, handle carpentry, assemble furniture, and ensure site security systems are operational. This role requires the use of your personal truck or van, for which mileage reimbursement is provided. You will work on a rotating on-call basis for after-hours emergency work as needed.

Responsibilities

Enter and complete work orders on phone or laptop

Manage and communicate with vendors for work beyond the scope of the facilities team

Physically move furniture between sites

Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, hanging objects, assembling furniture, and handling door hardware

Coordinate with vendors and temporary workers as needed

Use personal truck or van for transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)

Work on a rotating on-call basis for after-hours emergency work

Ensure site security systems are always operational

Use hand and power tools effectively

Essential Skills

4+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or facilities engineering

1+ year of experience in light electrical, light plumbing, light carpentry, and painting

Working knowledge of hand and power tools

Experience with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, drywall, and building maintenance

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must have a van or truck with an enclosed bed (preferably a canopy) for secure transportation of items

Ability to read and follow instructions well

Strong communication skills to address issues in real-time

Detail-oriented and self-sufficient

Ability to travel to various sites throughout Seattle, including occasional trips to Vashon Island
