Full-Time Facilities Work at Private School

Pay: $27 – 33.09/hour, dependent upon experience

Full-time benefits!

40 hours/week

Schedule: 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday and Friday + 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday - Thursday

(With opportunities for additional evening hours.)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Maintain school buildings to ensure full and productive use.

● Open campus, including unlocking all buildings and securing grounds.

● Maintain school grounds including lawn maintenance, pruning of trees, and planting bed upkeep.

● Complete event set up and break down.

● Perform general preventive and ongoing maintenance tasks.

● Assist with school traffic needs.

● Perform janitorial duties when required.

● Some local travel (such as running errands, picking up parts, etc.)

● Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, faculty, staff, families, equipment, materials and facilities.

● Run errands and perform other duties as assigned.

● Commit to the mission, vision, and values of Villa Academy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Ability to work a daytime work schedule, with opportunity for occasional evening hours.

● 2+ years of experience with basic electrical and plumbing work.

● Familiarity with power tools and ability to make minor repairs to school buildings and equipment.

● Skill with operating equipment necessary to maintain campus landscaping.

● A current Washington state driver’s license and applicable Washington state automobile insurance.

● Good verbal and written communication skills.

● Neat, professional appearance appropriate for a school environment.

● Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with all school constituencies, including students, faculty, staff, families, and the community.

● Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as stoop, kneel, bend, turn, and reach.

● Ability to work both inside and outside in all weather conditions.

● Ability to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push objects and materials up to 50 pounds.

● Ability to work up to 40 feet off ground level (ladder, lifts, or roof work.)
