Our high-end upholstery workshop is growing and ready to hire a full time upholsterer.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience upholstering new and old furniture of many kinds and styles:
Chairs, sofas, banquettes, stools, ottomans, loose cushions, headboards,
- Knowledge of hand tools and machine tools/saws.
- Ability to cut and wrap foam in dacron to achieve desired look and feel in seats
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a genuine desire to do high-quality work
- Ability to work nicely and professionally with other upholsterers and in front of clients
HOURLY WAGE: $35-$40, depending on experience, skills and reliability
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This friendly team of craftspeople are respected and honored for their skills and work collaboratively and independently. The workshop has lots of free parking and there are a few bus lines that run on Bel-Red Rd 1 block away. It is located next door to the new light rail station on 132nd Ave and Spring. A nice Mercury's coffee shop, Safeway, restaurants and gas station are all within 3-4 blocks of this location.
HOURS: People work 8 hours a day on weekdays. You can pick your shift of choice: start early in the morning or later in the morning.
VACATION: 10 Paid holidays + 1 week of vacation every year.
