Made To Measure Property Services is a small handyman business that primarily focuses on light repair and renovation. There is no job too small for this crew. We primarily service homes in preparation for sale. We paint, we fix, we make it happen. We also service rental properties for property managers, as well as homeowners directly. We offer a quality service at a fair price. We listen to our clients needs and tailor our services to their specifications. We are a crew of 3 and are looking to add another member. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based out of Mountlake Terrace, WA. The location changes daily/weekly and you would drive directly to the jobsite from your home. We ask that you drive your own work vehicle and we will compensate for mileage. Our jobs can range from 2-hours, and as long as 1-2 weeks. Normal service calls are drywall repair, painting touch ups, light plumbing repairs, light electrical repairs, finished carpentry, deck repair, picture/mirror hanging, furniture assembly, door adjustment, light framing and renovation etc. We often are asked to complete a partial paint, as well as repairing a laundry list of broken things throughout the home. We joke that it is like Iron Chef of home repair. 50% of the time, you will be working independently, 50% of the time, you will be working with the crew. You will be asked to show up to a property, communicate with the client, assess what needs to be repaired, shop for materials, complete the repair, and then document the work completed, and report back to me (Owner/operator). Most of the work is brain and communication heavy. Most days are physically light, however we do take on the odd deck rebuild which allows us to get dirty.
Qualifications
Experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical and most home systems.
Proficiency in painting and finish work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicating what will be the best solution for each job.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Previous experience in property maintenance or handyman services is a bonus.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
