What we are looking for:
This position will perform varying scopes of electrical work in industrial/commercial environments, including industrial automation systems, under the supervision of a journeyman electrician and/or project-specific lead. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work independently and with other electricians, with a high degree of professionalism when interacting with clients.
What you’ll do:
Read and redline drawings and schematics.
Troubleshoot industrial automation systems.
Troubleshoot electrical circuits using a multimeter.
Bend electrical conduit and install cable trays.
Communicate with on-site client staff and other contractor teams.
Work full-time, variable hours depending on client needs and expectations, generally between 7AM and 5PM, with occasional overtime required.
Travel occasionally, up to 30%.
Who you are:
Minimum 2 years of experience as an electrician.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Possess an active WA State trainee card, or equivalent license with the ability to pass WA State requirements within 90 days. Alternatively, this position can be classified as technician and not accumulate hours.
Willingness to expand knowledge of electrical schematics and theory.
Ability to read and redline drawings and schematics.
Experience with industrial automation systems including feeder and branch circuits, servo systems, PLC controllers, VFDs, 480VAC 3-phase, and 24VDC voltage power distribution and layout.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of I/O systems is a plus.
Ability to climb a ladder.
Ability to use hand tools.
Basic computer skills.
Ability and willingness to travel when necessary.
Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet customer needs.
