Open Position:
Immediate opening for Experienced Low Voltage Cabling “Lead” Technician
Usual workdays are Monday –Friday between 8:00am & 5:00pm.
(actual schedule occasionally includes early or late after-hours work)
Job Duties:
Read and follow Blueprints
Design/Create Efficient Cable Pathways
Create “As-Built” Print to give customer at completion
Install Cable Pathway (J-Hooks, Beam Clamps, etc.)
Install/Build Racks/Enclosures (Floor Mount and Wall Mount)
Install/Terminate CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A Cable
Install/Terminate Fiber Optic Cable
Dress Cable into Racks/Enclosures
Label Cabling
Test Copper Cables
Test Fiber Runs
Certify Copper Cable Runs (w/JDSU)
Troubleshoot Cabling issues, Network issues, Carrier Circuit Extension issues, etc.
Requirements:
Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Have Basic Low Voltage Cable Install Hand Tools
Familiar with Color Codes, Punch Downs, and Patch Panels
Familiar with Rack & Stack and Closet Work
Scissor-Lift and Boom-Lift Certification
Be available to work out of town on occasion
Ability to work well and lead in a team environment
Good organizational skills, time management and attention to detail
Should be a Self-Starter and Problem Solver
Be able to Work Independently
Be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Compensation:
$25-30/Hour (DOE)
Current WA-06 License $30-40/Hour (DOE)
