We are offering Electrical Trainees $25/hour to start and offer full, employer paid insurance benefits. In addition to many opportunities for hourly wage increases through successful completion of Region 6 paid certifications and class time.

Imagine where you could be in 2-3 years! With a completed 4000 hours and passing the exam, certified Journeyman 06 Technician, earn around $90,000-100,000/year after they have completed the trainee/apprenticeship.

We will help you achieve this while you are electrical Trainee at Region 6! You can do it – you just have to get started!

Work directly with licensed, journey-level technicians as you learn new skills, acquire hours to test to become a licensed EL06 Journey technician. Our experienced technicians and project managers will help be prepared in the field and for the exam itself through our unique hybrid classroom and field training program.

Reporting Structure:

You will be under the direction of our training program manager, a journeyman technician with over 2 decades of experience, as you work to support projects on job sites with other experienced members of our technician team to access and cutting-edge security device installs as well as other projects.

Position Requirements:

-Must have reliable transportation and good driving record.

-Work with journey technicians to install and anchor new equipment for security purposes.

-Performs work in the repair and installation of hardware and software related to locking devices, digital locks or keying systems including electronic access control systems

-Operate a variety of equipment, tools, and machines

-Technicians are responsible for day-to-day operations on the job site and include staging and performing daily work and communicating project status to Field Supervisors.

-As a low voltage apprentice technician, you will assist with project site installation and service of security, access control, fire alarm, video surveillance and integration technology while you're learning the trade of low voltage electrical journey technician.

-Operate a company vehicle to obtain parts and materials.

-Perform related duties as assigned. Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations

-Participate in regular training sessions as assigned.

-Access and use apps using a smart phone or tablet.

Initial Qualifications:

-Education and Experience: High School or equivalent certification from a college or technical school or completion of a trade school apprenticeship program.

-Washington State Driver’s License and proven good driving record

-Access to reliable transportation and ability to use a smartphone is both required

-Valid Electrical trainee card in Washington State (preferred but NOT required)

-Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Working Conditions:

-Demonstrate interest and motivation to learn more and to participate in the growth of your skills and career.

-Report for work at construction job sites around the greater Seattle area and at Region 6 office in Seattle for training and classes according to your assigned schedule.

-Follow laws and regulations and appropriate safety precautions and procedures including wearing proper safety attire on site and free from drugs and alcohol.

-Maintain tools and equipment in clean working condition and operate them safely and correctly.

-Establish and maintain a positive, cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
