Small high-tech Company has an opening for a day shift machinist in an R&D/prototype/light production facility. This position needs a Machinist with diverse skills performing a variety of machining operations such as milling, drilling, lathes, etc., on existing and new parts ranging from simple to complex in nature. As a machinist, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process.
You will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Your attention to detail and ability to read blueprints will ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.
In addition to your technical skills, we value your ability to work in a team environment. Collaboration with other machinists, engineers, and production personnel is essential for successful project completion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Setup and operation of new and existing parts using conventional or CNC machines and tools.
Interpret blueprints, sketches and engineering specifications.
Check work to ensure dimensions are within prescribed tolerances using a variety of measuring devices.
Machine fixtures and tooling as required.
Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
Assist with determining sequence of operations, methods of setup and machine tool programming, as required.
Ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years CNC milling set-up and operator experience
Ability to use both manual and CNC machines
Proficient in basic math calculations
Have basic machinist tools
Preferred Qualifications (not required but a plus):
1+ years of CAM programming
Okuma lathe experience
Vocational Training / Renton Technical College , Lake Washington Tech or equivalent
Solidworks proficiency
Featurecam or similar software experience
Haas CNC experience
