The City of Puyallup is accepting applications for a Parks Maintenance Worker II position. Come join our great Parks Maintenance Team! The priority application date is August 23rd.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tasks in a wide variety of occupational areas including horticulture, grounds maintenance, equipment operation, small engine and diesel engine repair, equipment/facility repair involving knowledge of carpentry, electrical and plumbing trades.
Qualifications include two years of maintenance experience in two or more of the following areas: horticulture, landscaping, building and grounds maintenance, and equipment operation and repair. Vocational-technical course work or training in the above areas may be substituted for up to one year of the experience.
Special Qualifications:
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Washington State driver's license.
Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License within four (4) months of appointment.
Ability to obtain a WSDA Pesticide License within four (4) months of appointment.
The salary range is $68,565 - $77,435 annually and the city offers a benefit package, paid leave and holidays, and the State retirement program.
