The Maintenance Tech for a 74 unit apartment building in Bremerton
DESCRIPTION
Facility Maintenance Person will communicate and work as a team member with management to ensure the property is maintained and improved as needed. This position is responsible for work orders and unit turnovers. Employee must have reliable transportation, be drug free, and be able to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and 25-50 lbs frequently. This person will maintain a professional courteous manner with all tenants (customers) and maintain a professional appearance as you are a representative of this company.
COMPENSATION
$25/hr and 40 hours a week
Monday to Friday
Paid vacation and sick
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ability to work steadily at a good pace
Communicate effectively and schedule appointment with tenants and trades
Respond to work orders
Courteous of tenants
Turn apartments between rental periods (Painting, cabinets, lighting, plumbing, flooring)
Light electrical demand
Light pluming demand
Minor Appliance repair
Drywall repairs
Painting
Trim repair/replace
Spread ice melt as needed
Maintain clean, neat, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors
Maintain community equipment and ensure equipment is functioning properly
Observes and helps resolve problems that relate to the community and the grounds. ยท Avoids loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment
Maintain records of resident repairs and works performed
Schedule trades as needed
Attend and participate in required meetings
REQUIRED
A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
1 year maintenance, construction or related trade
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Semi-Proficient on computers with ability to use email, text, MS Word, Excel, and other like programs
Maintain a calendar
Ability to work independently
Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with tenants, fellow employees and management
Drivers License
Non Smoking Company
Firt Aid and CPR certified
Pass a background check and drug testing
Climb stairs, climb ladders, lift more than 50 lbs, kneel, squat, and walk for 8 hours
Maintain a presentable and clean appearance
