Property Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Property Management Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs for our commercial properties. The ideal candidate will ensure that properties are well-maintained, addressing issues promptly to enhance tenant satisfaction and property value.

Key Responsibilities:

Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of properties and perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.

Emergency Repairs: Respond quickly to maintenance emergencies, addressing urgent issues such as leaks, electrical failures, or heating/cooling problems.

Tenant Requests: Handle maintenance requests from tenants professionally and efficiently, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize future repairs and prolong the life of property systems and equipment.

Inspection and Documentation: Inspect properties and prepare detailed reports on maintenance needs, repairs, and completed tasks.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and property management policies.

Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ordering new supplies as needed.

Property Upkeep: Assist with general property upkeep, including landscaping, cleaning, and ensuring properties are in top condition.

Communication: Communicate effectively with property management staff, tenants, and vendors to address and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, or a related field preferred.

Proven experience in property maintenance, building maintenance, or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and general repair techniques.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.

Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks or priorities.

Physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various conditions.

Working Conditions:

May require work in various weather conditions and environments.

On-call availability for emergency repairs outside regular business hours may be required.
