Our family is seeking a handyman/handyperson type, or current/former tradesperson, to join as a Maintenance Lead for approximately 12 hours per week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am - 3pm.
Responsibilities:
Home Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform tasks such as painting, drywall repair, basic plumbing (replacing faucets, unclogging drains), caulking, basic appliance repair, and HVAC filter replacement
- Install updates such as awnings, outdoor string lights, shelving, and window treatments as requested
- Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized or complex repairs
- Make runs to the dump as needed
- Keep garage clean and organized and maintain logs of inventory for tools and supplies
Yard Maintenance:
- Perform regular yard tasks including mowing, trimming, hedging, weeding, fertilizing, watering, mulching, leaf removal, and pest control
- Seasonal yard cleanups
- Pressure washing, gutter cleaning
- Seasonal prep (e.g. store cushions, cover spigots)
- Pick up dog waste regularly
- Store and maintain yard tools in proper working condition
Auto Cleaning:
- Regularly declutter, clean, and detail family vehicles
- Maintain a digital log of vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Coordinate vehicle drop-off/pick-up with repair shops as needed
This is a physically demanding job that will require you to spend most of the time on your feet and significant time outdoors in pacific northwest weather.
This job will also require you to engage with project management/collaboration software on employee provided tech.
Employer will withhold the required Social Security & Medicare taxes from the employee’s pay,
along with income taxes per the employee’s instructions on Form W-4 and all other applicable
state taxes.All tax withholdings will be remitted to the state and federal tax agencies on or before the household employment tax deadlines. In addition, employer will match the employee’s Social
Security & Medicare contributions and make contributions to the state and federal
unemployment insurance funds on behalf of the employee.
