Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor/Seamstress to create, alter, and repair garments according to customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent sewing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Cut fabric and pattern pieces according to specifications.
Sew, alter, and repair garments to ensure proper fit and finish.
Make adjustments and modifications to clothing as requested by clients.
Select appropriate fabrics, threads, and other materials for projects.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Ensure all garments meet quality standards before delivery.
Keep up-to-date with the latest tailoring techniques.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a tailor, seamstress, or similar role.
Excellent sewing skills and knowledge of different fabrics and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret patterns and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina and dexterity to work with fabrics and tools.
Preferred Skills:
Certification or training in tailoring or fashion design.
Experience with modern sewing machines and tools.
Knowledge of fashion trends and garment construction.
Skilled in menswear alterations
