Experienced Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver
Job Description:
Based from our truck yard in Maple Valley, drivers haul aggregates throughout King, Pierce and Snohomish County to and from construction sites, pits and dump sites as well as between facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate dump trucks, 8 axle tractor-trailer combinations to transport and deliver (dump and/or spread) and maneuvering into loading and unloading positions safely in rural, suburban and urban environments in a safe and professional manner, following the rules of the road
Communicate with dispatcher, loaders, scale staff, site leads and coworkers professionally and efficiently
Inspect loads, couple/decouple trailers, connect/disconnect air and electrical lines, manipulate wheel locks
Keep vehicle clean and perform basic maintenance (eg fluids); complete pre trip and post trip inspections; complete inspection reports to communicate maintenance/repair needs to shop, and incident reports
Maintain written work logs and collect tickets/signatures to submit at end of work
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements:
Current Class A CDL and DOT Medical Certification
3 Years’ Driving Experience with clean, insurable driving record
Drug free & able to pass DOT required drug testing
Ability to assess vehicle’s workability and functionality and ability to keep it clean
Able to lift 60 pounds
Able to transverse uneven ground
Able to shovel/scrape truck boxes up to 15 minutes or more
Able to climb in and out of truck boxes and cabs
Able to read and write
Knowledge of local area and gravel pits a plus
