VETRANS Logistics Services, Inc seeks an experienced, results-oriented Truck Brokerage Associate to join our business.
VETRANS has been brokering freight for more than 15 years. We have a solid book of business and provide a stable platform from which to grow additional business. Our credit rating is outstanding. We have many long-term relationships with both shippers and carriers that have significant growth potential.
Truck Brokerage Associate candidates should possess the following qualifications:
Sales/customer service experience in the transportation industry
Knowledge of/experience with freight brokerage operations (US/Canada)
Understanding of trucking industry including federal/state regulatory requirements
Competency with computer systems to include Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent problem-solving abilities and verbal/written communication skills
Our Truck Broker position will perform the following duties:
Act as a liaison between our shippers/carriers
Ensure retention of our current customers
Price loads for shippers
Book loads with carriers
Communicate with dispatchers/drivers to track the status of loads
Set/meet sales goals
Identify/develop new customers
Identify/develop safe, reputable carriers
Accurately/promptly induct all transactions into required internal systems
Work in the proprietary systems of our customers
Maintain knowledge of current transportation industry trends
VETRANS Logistics Services offers competitive salary and benefits that include:
Base hourly rate = $24.00-$28.00/hour depending on experience
Bonus/commission plan based upon sales goals after successful completion of 90 probationary period
