Part time (20 Hours) Full Charge Bookkeeper needed for Family Promise of Spokane
Family Promise of Spokane seeks to equip families and communities to end the cycle of homelessness in Spokane county. We have been serving homeless families in Spokane for 22 years by partnering with the interfaith community to provide meals, housing, case management and a community to love and encourage these families back into homes. Position Summary: The Bookkeeper is responsible for the financial management and design of internal accounting controls which ensure that Family Promise has appropriate, compliant, and fair financial oversight.
Duties:
- Facilitating Payroll with third party administrator
- Managing Accounts Payable
- Grant billing
- reconciliation of accounts
- Liaison with CPA to coordinate and facilitate audits
- Assist Executive Director with pulling reports and budgeting
- Facilitate filing of Form 990 in addition to other tax reports
Requirements:
- Experience in an organization, such as the medical field, where multiple billing sources need to be managed.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a full-charge bookkeeper
- Familiarity with non-profit accounting
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- Proficient in Excel and QBO
