Position Summary:
We are looking for a licensed Year-Round Tax Accountant/Tax Preparer, LII, to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing returns, minimizing tax liabilities, and assisting with strategic tax planning. You'll also engage in maintaining excellent client relationships, supporting a collaborative team environment, and ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage client expectations and communicate effectively: Set and manage expectations for tax return preparation, ensuring clear communication via email, phone, and in-person.
Prepare and review tax returns using Lacerte software: Guide clients through complex individual and basic business tax returns, leveraging expertise and tax software.
Collaborate and achieve productivity goals: Work efficiently with team members to complete returns, maintain a high volume of completed returns annually, and meet professional development requirements like CPE.
Qualifications:
Licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA.
2-4 years of experience in tax return preparation, preferably in a tax preparation office or public accounting firm.
Proficiency with Lacerte tax software is a plus.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service.
Ability to handle multiple timelines and provide direction to clients effectively.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
