Location: Spokane, WA

Business: WeConnect Wireless

We will begin offering repairs in-store and need an experienced repair tech to work and train new techs. This is a new shop so when not busy with repairs the employee will work on the retail side of the store.

WeConnect Wireless is seeking a skilled, patient, and customer-focused Phone Repair Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, in-store position that combines device repair, phone activation, and retail sales.

We take pride in helping every customer — whether they’re coming in for a cracked screen, a new phone activation, or a service plan question. Our store serves a diverse community, and while customers can sometimes be challenging, we stay focused on providing respectful, solution-oriented service every time.

About the Role

You’ll repair a wide range of devices — from smartphones and tablets to laptops and gaming systems — while also helping customers activate new phones, set up service, and choose the right products. Success in this role means balancing technical skill with strong people skills and a genuine desire to help others.

Key Responsibilities

-Diagnose, repair and refubish phones and tablets

-Perform screen replacements, charging port repairs, battery swaps, glass refurbishing and other repairs

-Assist customers with new phone activations, SIM setup, Lifeline enrollments, and prepaid plans

-Deliver excellent customer service — even when situations are stressful or customers are upset

-Educate customers about devices, accessories, and service options to ensure satisfaction

-Maintain a positive, professional attitude in all interactions

-Keep the workspace clean, organized, and efficient

-Manage inventory and assist with ordering parts and supplies

-Stay up to date on new devices, tools, and repair techniques

-Help train and support other team members when needed

Qualifications

-Technical training or certifications preferred but hands on experience may substitute for official training programs

-Experience repairing smartphones & tablets

-Excellent customer service and communication skills — must be calm, patient, and professional under pressure

-Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, and POS systems)

-Retail or wireless sales experience preferred

-Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Requirements

-Level 2 Technician Experience or greater

-Familiarity with device unlocking, IMEI tools, or diagnostic software

-Understanding of inventory control and vendor ordering systems

Compensation
