Front Desk Job Responsibilities:
Support the office by professionally representing the provider; answering and screening telephone calls in a calm, helpful and pleasant manner; schedule patient appointments with customer service in mind; work as a team by assisting the back-office staff as needed.
Job Duties:
MUST be able to answer phone in a happy and friendly voice, at all times.
Excellent customer service skills
Must have, or being willing to learn, de-escalation skills for difficult calls
Represents provider by screening incoming telephone calls; recording and transmitting messages; scheduling patient appointments and provider consultations.
Ensures provider productivity by correctly scheduling patient appointments.
Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPPA standards.
Maintains quality results by following and enforcing office standards.
Serves and protects the health care community by adhering to professional standards, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards.
Maintains a positive, helpful attitude.
Vacuum office weekly; keep personal desk/area clean
Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-3:30pm, Friday 9am-2:30pm (may stay until 5pm on most Wednesdays, if desired)
Includes a 30-minute paid lunch. We do not offer any benefits other than PTO.
Job Requirements:
Positive attitude is a must
High school diploma, or equivalent required.
6 months working in an office environment. Demonstratable experience scheduling preferred.

Phone and computer proficiency, including typing and MS Office software
Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred

Ability to walk up stairs to the second floor, we do not have elevators
