Century Survey Inc. located in the Spokane Valley has an immediate opening for a Survey Party Chief. Working predominantly in construction including highway projects, bridgework, and airports, Century Survey also offers services in boundary, topographical, design, and boundary line adjustments. Prefer applicants have knowledge in ALL areas. The company utilizes Trimble Robotic Total Stations and Trimble GPS receivers in the field with Civil 3D CAD drafting software in the office. Salary is negotiable but dependent on skill and experience. One week paid vacation after 6 months of employment with up to two weeks paid vacation accumulated per year. Sick leave provided upon employment accumulating monthly for up to 1 week per year. We offer Paid Holidays and full pay between Christmas and New Year’s. Two week period allotted to employer/employee to determine the compatibility of working relations if hired.
Responsibilities
Perform survey field tasks in preparation of topographic, construction and special surveys
Lead survey crew in daily activities
Train survey crew in proper survey procedures
Maintain safety procedures for all survey personnel
Ensure proper procedures are in place when transferring field data to office
Oversee maintenance and operation of all surveying equipment
Basic Qualifications
3-6 years of land surveying experience
High School diploma or GED required
Experience with Trimble robotic total station and GPS is a plus
Knowledge of Survey Pro a plus
Proficiencies with MS Word and Excel a plus
Ability to work outside in all seasons
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Strong work ethic and accountability required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license
