Dear future barista,
Coffee shops have always been a place for me to experience community while enjoying coffee. When I first started working in coffee for a large company in 2005, they spoke a lot about how to create a third place. How the coffee shop could be a place for community. How it could be a place for connection and sharing ideas. How it could be a comfortable place outside of the home and work. I worry these days that between the push for technology and speed that coffee shops have become just places for a daily caffeine fix, not a third place.
At New Love Coffee, the goal is to serve delicious coffee in a welcoming third place. I want to hire baristas who love coffee, love hospitality, and want to create a welcoming space for ALL people. I am committed to doing my part as owner in pursuit of those goals, whether I’m roasting coffee, buying green coffee from sustainable sources, connecting with customers, or being supportive of the baristas on staff. It’s going to take hard work from all of us, extra patience at times, and the willingness to learn and grow. But I’m hopeful we can serve great coffee and create a great third place together.

All you need to apply for a barista position is submit a resume, be able to work at the Liberty Lake location, have weekend availability, willing to work 20-30 hours a week, and answer the following question:
“What do you love about working with people?”
