HIRING SALARIED KITCHEN MANAGER
Stormin Normans is hiring a full-time salaried kitchen manager.
We are an extremely busy Restaurant/Sports Bar with very high food sales. We are a fun, neighborhood, family-friendly place. We have breakfast, lunch and dinner 7-days-a-week. We get families from the nearby sports complex nearby during the day, a bit of a younger crowd on weekend nights, with an older happy hour. But our demographic is anywhere from 20 to 70 years old. We have a very healthy regulars crowd.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Kitchen Manager at Stormin Norman's Shipfaced Saloon in Spokane, WA. The Kitchen Manager will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, ordering supplies, and maintaining quality control. This position will work to keep the kitchen clean and organized and work with kitchen staff to keep specials fresh and operations running smoothly. It includes scheduling kitchen staff, ordering food and working with the GM to make the back of the house and front of the house a well-oiled machine.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen management or supervisory role
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Scheduling experience
Food costing experience
Food ordering experience
Full-time
While we are always open to new ideas and fresh specials ideas, we are not looking for someone to come in and re-create our kitchen/menu. Our food sales are equal to our liquor sales currently, which is typically unheard of in a bar type situation, so we are not trying to change what's working. But we do want to hear ideas to increase efficiency and better our practices.
This is a salaried position with medical and we are working on a retirement plan now that will be available after six months of solid employment.
Education is a plus, but not required. At least 5 years of kitchen/cook experience, and at least 1 year of kitchen superviser/management experience.
