About Us:
Embodied Wellness Clinic is a neurodiverse clinic with a strong focus on education and training. Our mission is to empower patients through education and holistic healthcare. Led by Nerea, a seasoned practitioner with over 15 years of experience in Chinese medicine, our clinic integrates the marvels of Western medicine with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Our Approach:
Nerea brings a unique global perspective, utilizing blood labs to understand health from a functional perspective while relying on the solid foundation of TCM. Our treatments include Chinese herbs, Western nutraceuticals, Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy (APIT), and IM vitamin and homeopathic injections. We aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of functional medicine, Chinese herbal medicine, and alternative paradigms to the traditional model.
Internship Details:
This is a 12-month paid internship designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to take a holistic approach to healthcare. The internship consists of three phases, with a review at the end of each phase:
Phase 1:
- Learn clinic operations
- Scheduling and billing
- Administrative success setup
- Review: Evaluate understanding of administrative processes and readiness for Phase 2
Phase 2:
- Observation and education
- 5 Element Acupuncture, APIT, Injection Therapy, Herbal Medicine, Functional Lab Reviews
- Focus on charting and observing
- Review: Assess knowledge gained and preparedness for active participation in treatments
Phase 3:
- Participation in treatments
- Co-treatment of patients
- Review: Final assessment of practical skills and readiness for independent practice
