Caregiver needed for Adult Family Home in Chattaroy (just 12 minutes north of the “Y”).
Since 1997 we have taken care of men only, usually disabled veterans.
Position is for 24 hours shifts. Pay is 16 hours for each 24 hour shift (you can sleep at night, awake staff not required). Rate is $21.00 an hour.
Must speak English. Must be experienced and professional.
Must be able to deal with grumpy old men (they’re not that bad). :)
This position if for the weekend shift Friday 4pm thru Monday 7am. This shift equals 40 hours for a gross pay of $840.00 per week. Possible split of shift to Sunday off with a replacement shift during the week. Must be able to prepare meals. Must have no limiting physical conditions (lifting not required). Must be diligent and professional in caring with Residents, staff and visitors, documentation and other issues.
Training requirements are:
NAC or NAR with HHA certificate or letter of verification that you worked and have continually worked as a caregiver before and since January 7, 2011.
Pass a background check and Fingerprint Check
Fundamentals of Care Giving Certificate
First Aid/ CPR - current
Must be able to care for six residents during this shift (we currently have only five residents for the foreseeable future).
TB Test with 3 days of hire
Current NAC or NAR license
Nurse Delegation Certificate
Food handlers permit - current
Dementia certificate
Mental Health certificate
If you are missing some of the certificates arrangements can be made to help you acquire those.
Duties include cooking, cleaning, assisting Residents with incontinence, bathing, medications, etc.
