Job shift: Wednesday Sunday 10:00a.m. - 6:00p.m.
Job Summary:
The Restorative Nurse Aides will provide routine restorative nursing care services to selected residents under the direction of a Charge Nurse, and will function as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Job Functions:
Assists the Restorative Nurse in performing procedures that maximize the residents existing abilities.
Directs or assist residents with exercise (active/passive range of motion exercises) to improve or maintain mobility and independence.
Participate in restorative activities such as ambulation programs and restorative feeding programs as required.
Notify restorative nurse or appropriate therapy department of any problems, referrals or reassessments needed.
Participate in and document results of residents activities of daily living programs such as dressing, feeding and personal hygiene.
Observe body alignment of all residents in bed, chairs, and wheelchairs, especially those using various positioning devices and perform adjustments/corrections, as necessary.
Assist in transfer and transportation of residents as needed
Requirements:
Current Certified Nurse Assistant license and training in restorative nursing procedures, and must have a positive attitude.
