My name is Chris, I’m 31 years old and located in the Spokane Valley and I am a quadriplegic. I am looking to hire an on-call/backup caregiver for preplanned weeks of the year. These weeks would be communicated well in advance, with notice either given the previous evening or earlier in the morning of if you are needed.
Schedule: Monday through Friday (any day that was needed) from 8 AM to 5 PM.
ALL TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
Responsibilities Include (not limited to):
- Assisting in the process of getting ready in the morning. This includes personal care, dressing, stretching, transfers using a Hoyer lift, and wheelchair positioning.
- Meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and other household tasks.
- Transportation using my wheelchair accessible van.
- Other tasks as necessary.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND CHECK AND FINGERPRINTING.
Qualifications:
- Energetic, professional, and courteous individual.
- Experience with quadriplegics/low mobility individuals highly preferred but not needed.
- Ability to take direction and learn new processes and skills.
- Timeliness and reliability are crucial to role.
- Ability to perform lifting as part of transfers and positioning.
- Reliable transportation.
