Seeking a freelance or independent contractor (1099) for a bread delivery route three days a week: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Applicants must have a box truck roughly 15ft long, ideally with a ramp or liftgate. Trucks under 10,000 GVWR are preferred to avoid USDOT registration. While a truck and trailer are acceptable, they are less efficient due to depot docking situation. Individual will need to have proof of insurance for trucking.
Daily Responsibilities;
Use a handheld device to verify the daily load. Loads can be sorted at the depot or en route to each account, depending on preference. At each account, deliver and stock bread, remove and scan out any stale items, then proceed to the next stop. The territory covers Spokane Valley, WA to Post Falls, ID, with workdays averaging 10-12 hours.
Mondays- I typically arrive at the depot on Sunday night around 11pm. 9 accounts are delivered on this day.
Tuesdays- I typically arrive at the depot on Monday night around 11pm. 7 accounts are delivered on this day.
Thursday- I typically arrive at the depot on Wednesday night around 11:45pm. 8 accounts are delivered on this day.
The times I arrive seem to make this the most efficient for my current life situation. Others may change it according to their own liking as long as all accounts are served on each according day.
