TEAM WORK AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS REQUIRED
We are a local lumber yard seeking a sawyer for our on-site truss plant. This position may start as entry level but we are more than willing to train the right individual to become the person that runs the truss team. This requires a mindset of growth with and for a company, organization top tier, inventory control (working with truss designer directly) to communicate needs and/or concerns. Being proactive with production and down time being willing to assist where needed. This is a TEAM!
Preferred characteristics and experience:
Basic math skills - paying attention to designs sent to the saw computer
Computer operation/function knowledge and finding jobs on saw computer to process
Table saw set up and take down for various sizing of truss builds
Understanding of truss specification sheets to ensure accuracy of build
Plating knowledge on truss builds
Base lumber knowledge
Previous saw experience a plus - but more than willing to train the right person!
Ability to keep track of truss plant specific inventory and relaying to truss designer/manager
Be able to show potential of leading a team - set the example!
