Job Requirements:
As the leader of our Home Repair and Remodel team you need to be able to effectively lead
your construction team, bid and sell the jobs to keep the construction team’s schedule full and
have the construction background to be able to work on the job site as necessary.
Ability to be a strong, contributing member of our leadership team
3-5 years experience in all phases of construction.
Planwith the Lead Carpenter the sequence of work on site, sub-contractors, inspections
and materials required to achieve the project goals.
Make lists of materials and/or tools necessary that can be communicated to the lead
carpenter for delivery upon an agreed schedule.
Excellence in bidding/estimating and sales must. See beyond the need to push a sale,
but most importantly connect with the client to earn their trust and deliver a bid that
reflects Harvest Valley'svalues that will exceed the clients request.
Work with database software to create bids, track customers and projects and create
daily, weekly and monthly reports. Prior experience is not required but a bonus using
our software platform Builder Trend.
Create and maintain an office file or otherwise manage the plans, permits, records and
other information onsite and in the office/online in Builder Trend. These should all be
organized and accessible.
Recognize and communicate questions or issues that arise on site with the Lead
Carpenter, or client.
Be in contact with subcontractors on site on a daily basis, discuss details, search for
possible problems and solutions.
Make time to communicate with Lead Carpenterevery day. Stay current with
communications (material lists, tool lists, etc).
Communicate time based goals to workers on site to ensure a positive but motivated
workforce.
Stamina needed to operate equipment and work in all weather conditions.
A high level of creativity and design skills.
Physical ability to crawl and work in small and confined spaces such as crawlspaces and
attics.
Work from ladders when necessary.
Lift up to 70 pounds when necessary.
