Warehouse Operator

Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming product, managing, organizing and retrieving product in the warehouse for upcoming installations. Maintaining the warehouse facility and installation equipment, supplies, and vehicles.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

RECEIVING

Assist in unloading shipping containers/delivery trucks using a forklift and loading them on delivery trucks, vans or warehouse floor or storage unit.

Inspect boxes and or products to verify quantity and damage before personnel from shipping company departs drop off location.

Communicate damage to project coordinator with image, phone call, warranty form and note on BOL.

Receive, identify, mark and place materials together based on customer or project that are sent to the warehouse. Ensure items are properly stored.

Arrange items in an organized manner to avoid damage or premature wear and tear.

INSTALLATION PREPARATION

For next day installations, pull and prepare product and ensure product PO’s match work order PO’s.

In advance of job, gather product in an area for crew to easily locate and load.

WAREHOUSE

Warehouse workers ensure the installation service starts faultless by ensuring that products are ready for installations.

Maintain warehouse facility in a safe, clean and orderly condition.

Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and tools used in the delivery or loading process.

Communicate with office personnel to provide and receiving information, resolve questions and issues.

Maintain and process files and reports pertaining to both shipping and receiving logs and warranties.

Operate a variety of warehouse equipment; utilize a variety of hand tools as required; arrange for the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment as needed.

Assist to file warranty claims on chairs.

Perform chair repairs.

Provide weekly update on chair warranty claims to staff

Place, organize and store product returned from job-site. Inform PC and SAM if damage or extra.

Maintain exterior grounds; snow removal, weeding and garbage clean-up

Perform other duties as assigned, i.e. small deliveries and or installations.

Maintain regular attendance.

Drive delivery van or truck to delivery destination.

Operate a fork-lift

Physical Demands-Stand, walk, carry and or lift up to 50 lbs, load, push, climb, pull, kneel, crouch
