WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Opening for a CNC Mill Machinist / Operator.

This is a fast paced position that entails set up, and operation of Haas CNC mills.

We are a fast paced environment that strives to maintain the highest quality product for our customers. We specialize in fast turn time manufacturing solutions for many different industries with specific industry knowledge in exotic plastics and aluminums.

Areas of responsibility for a level 1 machinist position include but are not limited to:

Responsible for showing respect to companies time and property.

Strive to exceed standards and expectations.

Demonstrate the ability to accept responsibility for ones mistakes.

Embracing new company policies and approaches.

Communicating with co-works in a logical, organized and coherent manner.

Navigate computer systems for file management, data input, and communication purposes.

Demonstrate proper use of safety equipment.

Practice workplace cleanliness habits to ensure an organized work area that is free of obstructions, spills, or hazards.

Perform beginning and end of shift clean up. Ensuring that all areas are prepared for the next shift before leaving or beginning work.

Be able to quickly and safely stop and/or shut down machines in the event of an emergency or crash.

Ability to perform inspection procedures following verbal or written instruction.

Be able to identify proper tools for inspection.

Be able to comprehend and complete proper work documentation.

Demonstrates proper use of deburr tools and equipment while following finishing procedures.

Be able to chase and tap parts by hand.

Responsible for communicating with co workers about previous operations, tooling, parts, and machinery. This includes an information needed to continue on with any task given.

Has the ability to select and identify proper tooling, tool holders, taps, or any other needed tool by using information provided by setup sheets and/or engineering drawing.

Demonstrates the ability to properly use work holding devices and setup parts while following setup sheet instructions.

Able to read and understand Haas G and M codes.

Able to use machine controls to set offsets; alter speeds and feeds; use OTS and probe; perform manual cutting operations; safely interrupt and start machine; alter offsets to properly compensate tools and work; load and unload tooling; safely walk-in tools during first runs; and use probe to measure part features.

Able to monitor machines to ensure tooling is changed as needed; adjustments to speeds and feeds; parts are within tolerances; general machine function is at or above company standards.

Properly load, clean and use tools and holders.

Responsible for ensuring blank, quantity, size, and material is correct before machining.

Responsible for cutting blanks by using the sizes given; choosing the correct material; choosing the correct saw; cutting blanks to the correct size.

Identifying errors in setup or program while proving out a first run before the part or machine is damaged.

Required Skills:

Minimum two years experience setting up and running CNC Mills.

Must be able to work with Haas or equivalent machines.

Able to read and edit G-Code.

Recent Mastercam knowledge is a plus but not required.

Manual mill experience a plus.

Ability to comprehend technical blueprints, sketches & drawings and to accurately determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.

Understanding of cutter compensation, tool offsets, fixture offsets.

Adding or removing fixtures, vices, tools, indicating tooling and fixtures.

Recently worked in a manufacturing environment.

Detail oriented and self motivated in a high pressure environment.

Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, communication and people skills.

Must be able to stand 10 hours of the day and lift 50lbs on a regular basis.

Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
