Total Care is currently looking for a real go-getter caregiver to join our office staff. FUll time position over sees two departments. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8am - 430pm. All major Holidays off.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent supervisory/management and communication skills and at least one-year experience in home care services preferred. Must have and keep current license with the State of Washington Department of Health as NAC or HCA. Must be willing to support and carry out mission and values of Total Care, Inc.

JOB SUMMARY:

To assign and coordinate staff and client activities for home care. Supervise home health aides, through both direct and indirect intervention. Strive to improve effectiveness and efficiency of care provided. Conduct personal care updates/visits as mandated by Washington state law. Assist with promoting Total Care, Inc.; home care services to various community groups and associations. Recruit and maintain sufficient staff to meet client needs. Must be able to multi task with assisting with schedules to ensure our clients receive their scheduled care. Reporting directly to the administrator/assistant administrator/office manager.

DUTIES:

Implements interview and hiring process with prospective home care aides.

Provide orientation process to new staff that is specific to home care services.

Directly supervise home care staff.

Monitor job performance of aides staff through competency testing, joint visits in the field, ongoing review of documentation, client records, and personnel file.

Assist in the development and implementation of regular in-service training for staff to improve client care and increase/maintain safety practices in the agency.

Recognize deficiencies in staff members and provide training as needed. Respond to problems/concerns of staff members.

Collaborate with agency administrative staff on client referrals to determine if appropriate for home care services. If not appropriate, makes every effort to refer such cases to agencies capable of meeting client needs.

Complete client inquiries accurately, promptly, and with specific requests for services and times noted.

Assure that all client referrals are contacted immediately upon receipt. Weekend intakes are scheduled on a client need basis availability of staff.

Provide detailed information of agency operations, and procedures to clients during intake/initial client contact.

Develops clients plan of care according to client needs.

Assigns appropriate staff to home care cases. Assists with client and staff scheduling, log sheets, and other agency records, taking responsibility for accuracy and timelines.

Rotate on-call duties for weekday and weekend activity with appropriate staff as needed.

Assume personal responsibility of keeping informed of current changes and trends affecting home care. Foster good working relationships with agency personnel and with all outside agencies, hospitals, community groups, and associations.

Reviews client records monthly to assure compliance with Federal, state, and local regulations.

Performs other activities identified and delegated by administrator/assistant administrator/office manager.
