Trollhaugen Lodge, www.trollhaugensofn.com, owned by the Sons of Norway District 2, is seeking full time Managers/Caretakers to oversee daily operations of the lodge. Trollhaugen is a year-round recreational facility nestled in the Cascade Mountains, 1 mile South of I90 on Stampede Pass Road.
We are seeking applicants who desire to be involved in a hospitality setting and who enjoy the interactions of a hospitality environment. Experience in financial management or accounting is helpful as well.
Duties include booking reservations, maintaining cleanliness of the lodge, bathrooms, sauna, hot tub and laundry, equipment maintenance as well as snow removal from common areas during winter months. The Manager/Caretaker position is a team effort, married couples or domestic partnerships are encouraged to apply.
The Trollhaugen Board of Directors consists of nine members who are responsible for the overall operation of the lodge and will assist the Managers in terms of training and processes of lodge operations.
A modest year-round apartment, utilities, internet, basic satellite TV and vehicle gas allowance are provided. The position is structured as a renewable 1-year contract, 10 months paid salary of $3600 per month, and eight weeks negotiated vacation in the off-season between April 1st and September 30th. You do have the option to work those eight weeks if so desired. Trollhaugen is a non-smoking facility. Background checks required.
