Position Overview
As the Cannabis Retail Store Manager, you will oversee all aspects of store operations, including team leadership, sales performance, customer service, and compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, a deep understanding of the cannabis industry, and a passion for fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development: Recruit, train, and supervise a high-performing team of budtenders and supervisory staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance team skills and morale.
Sales Management: Drive sales growth by setting strategic goals, analyzing sales data, and implementing effective promotional strategies. Develop and maintain relationships with customers to enhance their shopping experience.
Customer Experience: Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to foster loyalty and satisfaction.
Operational Oversight: Manage daily store operations, including inventory control, cash handling, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Ensure that all store policies and procedures are followed consistently.
Compliance and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and local cannabis regulations. Ensure the store operates in compliance with all laws, and prepare necessary reports for management.
Marketing and Community Engagement: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop in-store promotions and community outreach programs that promote brand visibility and customer engagement.
Cash Management: Assist in budgeting and financial planning. Monitor and control expenses to maximize profitability.
Scheduling: Create a manage store schedule and provide emergency shift coverage as needed.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years old
Previous retail management experience required, preferably in the cannabis industry.
Strong knowledge of cannabis products, industry trends, and compliance regulations.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to analyze sales data and implement effective business strategies.
Proficient in point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
