Position Title: Senior Director of Sports

Family-owned and operated, NonStop Local SWX is a network committed to local sports, stronger communities, and breakthrough innovation. Launched in 2009, SWX serves Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Wyoming, and Montana. We produce hundreds of live local events each year. We’re looking for a visionary who will grow this network beyond its current footprint.
Minimum 3-5 Years Experience
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Salary: The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $175,000 per year, depending on factors such as skills, certifications, and relevant work experience.
About this role:
Responsibilities:
Develop the network's strategic growth plan, including the identification of new market opportunities and segments.
Negotiate new and existing conference, league, or individual team broadcast/streaming rights.
Create partnerships with other local station groups to expand SWX network footprint.
Grow revenue and profit through innovative sponsorships, spot sales and digital advertising.
Seek new opportunities for live sports production.
Develop programming consistent with the channel's philosophy.
Effective sports/content, promotions, and audience growth strategy across all platforms.
Develop strong relationships with clients, potential partners, and community leaders.
Leverage digital and sports marketing channels appropriately.
Stay educated on sports trends and be able to rapidly communicate trends and business opportunities to colleagues and clients.
Demonstrate research capabilities, knowledge of tools and resources, and ability to interpret results.
Experience and Qualifications:
Provide the vision, inspiration, and leadership necessary to inspire our talented teams.
Thinks big picture and is relentlessly enterprising.
Proven track record of performance leadership and P&L management.
Good understanding of DTC, OTT and streaming environments.
Expertise in content and campaign strategy, linear and digital advertising, analytics, 360 campaigns.
