We are seeking an experienced Fiberglass Insulation Installer to join our team. As an installer, you will be responsible for efficiently installing fiberglass insulation in residential and commercial properties. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compensation is a competitive piece rate at 9 cents a squarefoot for fiberglass batts. We offer a two week training period that starts at $17/hr for someone with no experience and $20/hr for someone with 2+ years of experience. After that training period you will be placed on a peice rate system where you can earn as much as you can install. Installers can make $34+ per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut fiberglass insulation materials to fit into walls, floors, and ceilings according to building codes and project specifications.
- Install insulation using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure proper fit and coverage.
- Seal joints and seams of insulation with staples, tape, or other approved methods.
- Safely operate equipment such as saws, knives, and other hand tools necessary for insulation installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule and according to quality standards.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the job site.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fiberglass Insulation Installer or similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to insulation installation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and installation.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and carrying heavy materials.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
