Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Irrigation Technician to join our team. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing irrigation systems to ensure the proper watering and care of landscapes. This is a hands-on position that requires knowledge of landscape maintenance, mechanical skills, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties
- Inspect irrigation systems to identify leaks, broken sprinkler heads, or other issues
- Adjust sprinkler heads to ensure proper coverage and distribution of water
- Program irrigation controllers to optimize watering schedules
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters and replacing worn-out parts
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and make necessary repairs
- Collaborate with landscape designers and contractors to plan and implement irrigation systems for new projects
- Provide recommendations for water conservation and efficiency improvements
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in the industry
- Mechanical aptitude to diagnose and repair irrigation system components
- Familiarity with different types of irrigation systems, including drip irrigation, sprinkler systems, and underground piping
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics related to irrigation systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches or lifting heavy equipment
- Current Washington State Backflow Certification highly desirable

Must Have:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

- Must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions
