Smokey Ridge Meats in Chewelah, WA is looking for someone interested in learning the skilled trade of livestock handling and slaughter. Slaughter of various species including cattle, pigs, lambs and goats is done under USDA inspection Monday through Thursday. Shifts are at least 8 hours and begin early around 6am. Previous experience with either large animal handling or meat processing is a plus but not required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to handle physically demanding work. Pay rate is negotiable and dependent on experience.
